A 1H NMR spectroscopic study of the biochemical effects of ifosfamide in the rat: evaluation of potential biomarkers
Ifosfamide (55 mg kg-1 and 110 mg kg-1) was administered via single i.p. injections to Sprague-Dawley rats and urine samples were collected for the periods of -24-0, 0-8 h, 8-24 h, 24-48 h and 48-72 h post-dose. Quantitative changes in the excretion pattern of small organic molecules in the urine of...

Summary: | Ifosfamide (55 mg kg-1 and 110 mg kg-1) was administered via single i.p. injections to Sprague-Dawley rats and urine samples were collected for the periods of -24-0, 0-8 h, 8-24 h, 24-48 h and 48-72 h post-dose. Quantitative changes in the excretion pattern of small organic molecules in the urine of rats treated with ifosfamide were studied using high frequency 1H NMR spectroscopy. The kidneys and livers of the animals were also examined, but showed no marked histopathological changes. 1 |
