Summary:The paper raises the problem of real-time electrical energy balancing and limiting the peak power demand at the level of the considered factory. Solution of the problem is important from technical and economic point of view, especially when existing renewable energy source and electrical energy storage system are taken into account. Studies concerning this question are conducted within the DIEGO project (details in acknowledgments). First, the paper analyses the internal electric power grid in the considered factory and presents a general characteristics of technological processes realized there. Next, the paper presents analysis of daily load and generation curves in the scope of active and reactive energy and characterizes practicable preventive measures (methods) for reducing peak electric loads at the level of the considered factory. Multi-Agent Systems are considered to be implemented for the purpose. Presented work is part of greater understanding which results will be further published.
