Summary:Companies in the metalworking sector have problems when carrying out their work or projects; many of them are based on the inoperability caused by different factors during their production; among them are problems with inventory, and machine failures, among others, which leads to decreased compliance rate. By this, it is essential to carry out correct planning in purchasing materials and supplies for a good supply prior to a project; Likewise, perform periodic maintenance on the machines to keep them operational throughout the project. This was done using Lean tools like 5S, Just in Time (JIT), TPM, and ABC. In addition, DDMRP was used to manage inventory control better and increase the number of current projects without delays due to lack of supplies by 2.45% and the indicator of orders to suppliers delivered at the current time by 30.74%. After the simulation in the Arena software, the improvement could be observed in them, in the first in 63.81%, and the second in 28.74%.
