Summary:The National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA) has specialized in the development of miniaturized instrumentation for Mars exploration during the last decade. The validation and comparison with reference instrumentation of these devices under representative scenarios is crucial, and it requires specific infrastructure to be able to manage field campaigns all around the world. The present work describes the I-BOX, a portable and embedded system that allows to develop short and long-term campaigns under extreme environmental conditions and with low maintenance.
