Summary:In order to study the influence of carbon emission intensity on Jiangsu's economic structure, this paper selects Jiangsu's economic structure change value, carbon emission intensity, energy consumption, finished product value of industrial enterprises and electricity consumption of Jiangsu whole society as research variables, and makes statistics on relevant panel data of Jiangsu province from 2013 to 2019, and establishes fixed effect model and stepwise regression analysis. Finally, the corresponding policy suggestions are given. The results show that the carbon emission intensity has a significant negative impact on the change value of Jiangsu's economic structure, indicating that the carbon emission intensity will hinder the adjustment and optimization of Jiangsu's economic structure. Energy consumption has a significant positive impact on the change value of economic structure in Jiangsu Province,It shows that energy consumption will promote the adjustment and optimization of economic structure in Jiangsu Province. The value of industrial finished products and the total electricity consumption in Jiangsu Province have little influence on the change value of economic structure in Jiangsu Province, which can be ignored. The government should improve the top-level design of the national carbon emission market, maintain long-term stability of emissions and consolidate the legal basis of carbon emission regulations. Moreover, the government should do a good job in policy convergence and capacity building in the process of national and local institutional reform, formulate a roadmap for international cooperation in carbon emissions, and set phased goals and key tasks.
