Summary:Nowadays about 76% of software development organizations in Mexico are Very Small Entities (VSEs). Therefore, new models and standards focused on this type of organizations are emerging, such as the ISO/IEC 29110 series of standards. The ISO/IEC 29110 allows improving the software quality focusing on the improvement of their software development process. However, VSEs also require complementary the quality assurance focusing on the software product characteristics. Unfortunately, the achievement of more than one standard in VSEs is complicated, and most of the time impossible. As solution to this situation, this paper presents a proposal, which aims to establish the basis of a quality assurance framework covering the process and product perspective, allowing the inclusion of product quality characteristics from ISO/IEC 25010 to the basic profile of ISO/IEC 29110.
