Summary:In the distribution networks 20/0.4 kV, which generally have a large extent, in terms of the number of transformation, switching, measuring and protection equipment and considerable lengths, there is the problem of energy and economic efficiency of both substations and related networks on the one hand, but also the increase in the quality of the electricity supply service on the other hand. The paper analyzes a PTA and the related 0.4 kV network, which have a long history and a high degree of technological consumption. For this, the PTA was monitored in order to determine the energy losses and the voltage drops. The acquired data allowed the calculation of these losses and voltage drops on all sections of the network. In order to improve the energy and economic parameters and to secure the network, certain technical measures considered appropriate in such situations were analyzed. The proposed measures could be technically and economically feasible.
