Intra-Pulse Intensity Noise Shaping by Saturable Absorbers

We demonstrate ultrafast intra-pulse intensity noise shaping performed by saturable absorbers using chirped pulses. The resulting intra-pulse noise distributions are characterized experimentally and utilized for 12.5 dB noise suppression down to the shot-noise limit.
