Summary:In the framework of European Space Agency Study on "Uncertainty budgets for magnetic dipole models" 1 , methods and tools were developed for the uncertainty evaluation of equivalent magnetic dipole models, used in missions with stringent magnetic cleanliness requirements. The outcome of this activity was to provide the basis to bring agreement of models with final tests and mission performance within their uncertainties. This is of specific benefit for the system activities of magnetic clean mission, where a system magnetic budget is defined since the earlier phases of the project. Additionally, the study allowed to identify equipment with a critical uncertainty contribution, prior their integration on the Spacecraft.
