Summary: | A comprehensive analysis has been presented, directing to study experimentally the impact effect on multi-ply angled fabric. This paper investigates experimentally the energy absorption in altered panel structure. The low velocity impact (Charpy Impact Testing) test was done onto numerous woven fiber panels. Striking velocity, panel structure and the numbers of ply influence the test. The experimental examination exhibited that different orientation of plies had affected the energy absorption capacity of the composite, in comparison, angled ply showed 15% more absorption of energy than aligned ply. Also, the layup or stacking sequence of different oriented plies also enhance the energy absorption. |
