Summary:In 4G wireless communication technologies such as LTE/LTE-A, signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) measurement is one of the major requirements for optimum link performance. The SINR measurement importance spans into various applications, for example: optimization of transmit power level, better named as close loop power control (CLPC), assisting with handoff decisions and dynamically adapting the data rate for wireless Internet applications. In this paper a reduced computation SINR estimation algorithm is discussed.
