Summary:In this paper the performance modeling of amorphous silicon, HIT and multi-crystalline silicon PV technology modules has been done by using contour map technique. An estimation of energy based on PR is done by using two environmental parameters air-mass and clearness index. The results are compared with the performance modeling based on PR as a function of irradiance and module temperature. It is found that the proposed method of clearness index and airmass is showing high accuracy than the other methods.
