Summary:This article discusses the performance of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) in the presence of cochannel interference (CCI) and fading, while multiple-input-multiple output (MIMO) antenna technology is used. The transmitter and receiver weights of MIMO antenna arrays are adjusted jointly according to Maximum-Ratio transmission (MRT) criterion. Inter-carrier interference (ICI) results from the other sub-channels in the same data block of the same user is neglected. However, the effects of cross channel ICI produced by CCI due to carrier frequency offsets (CFO) are considered in the precise interference model. The error probability is calculated fast and accurately using a semi-analytical technique along with the Gauss quadrature rule (GQR) approach based on the method of moments, which can approximate the statistical distribution of ICI.
