Summary: | Due to the high aspect ratio, excellent conductivity and large quantities of edges, graphene can serve as an ideal efficient edge emitter for field emission. We report here a high current explosive field emission form graphene sheets. The emission current was about 10KA with nearly perfect rectangular emission pulse. Because of the large quantities edges with a lot of defects and functional groups, the graphene can easily make uniform plasma and hold on continuously for the high-current explosive emission. |
