Summary:As a newly proposed physical energy storage method, gravity energy storage (GES) is currently in its infancy at home and abroad, and the control technology of slope GES is not yet mature. This article focuses on the control strategy of the slope GES system, designs the machine/grid side control block diagrams with the sliding mode control technology, and compares the differences between sliding mode control and traditional PI control through simulation analysis. It is concluded that the sliding mode control strategy has a faster adjustment speed, smaller fluctuation range, and better overall control performance.
