Summary: | A novel combined converter topology is presented to meet the demands of high reliability and high power density in the aeronautical power supply applications. By interleaving two-transistor forward converter modules at the input-end, and connected in series at the output-end, the proposed converter has many advantages such as naturally sharing input-current, high voltage gain, no phenomenon of direct short circuit in the input DC link, low voltage stress of second-side diodes, small size of input and output filters. The proposed converter is very suitable for high power and/or high voltage applications, and has been successfully applied in an aeronautical power supply system, and its technical indicators accord with design demands. |
