Summary:Aiming at the four types of transmission line faults related to windy weather (wind deflection fault, body fault, mountain fire fault and foreign object fault), this paper firstly analyzes the principle of wind speed selection in transmission line design and the wind speed used in transmission line operation and maintenance. Using the method of the district map, the detailed wind fault characteristics of transmission lines in North China in the past ten years were counted and analyzed. Based on the above analysis, this paper puts forward technical measures for wind damage prevention in view of 4 types of high wind faults in transmission lines. This paper can provide technical reference for the operation and maintenance of the company's transmission lines in windy weather.
