Summary:The Cascaded quasi-Z-Source Inverter (CqZSI) increases voltage boost-factor to three times traditional qZSI by utilizing a new shoot-state-through. A New shoot through technique is implemented in order to store and boost the magnetic energy in capacitor as well as to charge the battery alternatively. This shoot through technique increases the Shoot through state so as to release the energy from the switches with the help of PWM signals. In this study the proposed technique reduces the component rating by 30% of the capacitor value and 25% of the inductor value which gives the same boosted value of the traditional inverter. By utilizing the suggested control methodology, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) have been realized in CqZSI with battery operated solar photo voltaic system and PI controller is used for Voltage regulation at the load side. By using the same component value it gives additional boosted voltage is simulated and verified using MATLAB/ Simulink model of both proposed and traditional inverter.
