Summary: | There has been a rise in recent years in demand for advanced surveillance technologies for various applications, including military, law enforcement, and reconnaissance. Many innovative spying gadgets are being developed for stealthy surveillance; however, the effectiveness of surveillance technologies can be compromised if the surveillance tools are easily detectable or conspicuous. This is where camouflage comes into picture. Camouflage has long been recognized as a strategic technique for concealing objects or individuals in their surroundings, making them blend in and avoid detection. In this paper we propose the idea of a camouflage spy robot with features like audio and video surveillance. The camouflaging technique proposed in this paper is to cover the robot body with screen and displaying a camouflage image on the screen which makes the robot blend into the surroundings. A prototype of the camouflaging action is developed with the help of raspberry pi board, display screen and a camera. The camouflage image generation is based on the image merging concept, the surrounding images are captured and are merged to form an image which is displayed then displayed on the screen which acts as a camouflage image. The proposed camouflage spy robot has the potential to revolutionize the field of surveillance and reconnaissance by providing a new level of stealth and adaptability. |
