Summary:RTV coating is an important coating material for anti-pollution flashover and sliding flashover of porcelain insulators and bushings. Its long-term stable service is very important for the external insulation safety of power equipment. However, in the complex meteorological and electromagnetic environment such as high temperature, extremely cold, pollution, strong electric field and so on, micro cracks and local damage will inevitably occur inside the RTV coating, and even cause surface insulation failure and major equipment failure. Defending the electrical and mechanical damage of RTV coating materials has become one of the important problems for power grid security. In this paper, a microcapsule with self-healing function was prepared, with regular spherical shape and good encapsulation. On this basis, a composite RTV coating with self-healing function was prepared to achieve self-healing of micro-scale damage.
