Summary: | In India, the means of transportation that is used the most often is the train system. It is also one of those forms of transportation that suffers a lot of obstacles due to human mistakes such as level cross accidents, accidents due to damaged track or obstruction either static or mobile and thefts on the trains. In addition, it is one of those modes of transport that faces a lot of challenges due to natural disasters. Therefore, there is a need to think about new technology which gives full-bodied, competent and stable solution to these problems. In this paper, an unmanned gate crossing system, a broken rail track and obstacle detection system and a theft detection system on trains have been proposed with the help of hardware, including microcontroller Arduino, infrared (IR) sensors, ultrasonic sensors and fingerprint sensor. The proposed system will solve all above mentioned problems. |
