Summary:The choice of physical and mathematical models of the drive of vehicles with a hydrodynamic transformer is one of the most important and complex, since the choice of physical and mathematical models largely determines the reliability and accuracy of the results obtained. In the process of optimizing the objective function, the question of the reliability of the results obtained was solved, which is inextricably linked with the question of the adequacy of the mathematical model used. The analysis of literature sources showed that the issue of the adequacy of a mathematical model, such as used in optimization, is not covered enough. In this regard, a technique was developed for assessing the adequacy of the mathematical model used in determining the objective function. The assessment of the stability of the mathematical model and the statistical assessment of the possibility of its use in determining the integral indicators of the quality of a system with random loading confirmed the validity of using the proposed model for the analysis and synthesis of drive systems of vehicles equipped with torque converters.
