Summary:This paper describes the planning, delivery, and outputs of a week-long workshop that focused on supporting high school teachers in the co-creation of Renewable Energy Resources in the Galapagos Islands context. The workshop included participation from teachers from different subjects and grade levels in the three most populated islands of the Galapagos Archipelago. The workshop was targeted at enabling a discussion on the main educational resources that can be used to integrate renewable energy topics and principles into the new contextualized curriculum for education in the Galapagos. Examples of the main activities resulting from the discussions with teachers and students, as well as prior experiences working with high school students on renewable energy capacity-building workshops are presented in this paper. Finally, a summary of the lessons learned in the deployment of the workshop and the use of available digital resources in the schools are also highlighted.
