Summary:With the increasing awareness of environmental protection, electric rental vehicles such as motorcycles and scooters are gaining popularity in cities around the world. However, efficiently transmitting each vehicle's current position is an important issue. Traditional approaches lowers the communication energy by reducing the quantity of the transmitted messages. In this paper, we propose a new transmission scheme for electric rental vehicles. Our proposed scheme can dynamically adjust the transmission frequency and information according to vehicles' movement, and compresses the uploaded data. By excluding unnecessary or redundant information, the data size of transmitted messages can be reduced. Our experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively reduce energy consumption while improving data quality.
