Summary:IOT stands for Internet of Things, is the system of computing device which has an ability to transfer data over a particular network without interfering the human to human or human to machine communication. Smart Energy Metering technology provides high resolution and frequent power consumption data which can be used to improve feedback to consumers and thus enhance power conservation and management. This research work titled IoT based smart energy consumption and monitoring system that measures voltage and frequency level in real-time and also gives a view on the development of a wireless communication technology with the use of energy meter and LoRa module. This work uses Elmeasure LG+3399 Energy Meter, RS485 convertor and LoRaWan module for study. The output is obtained in terms of voltage is demonstrated visually and the calculations have been made for the energy consumed.
