Summary: | To create an unbiased system, analysis of cricket videos is necessary. Detecting cricket performance based on the various cricket shots can also be useful for coaches and sports analysts. With the advances in hardware technologies and deep learning techniques, it has become feasible to apply these techniques in cricket shot detection. In this survey, we will be referring the research and implementation works of various scholars and find the best algorithm and technique suited for our purpose of classifying various images of batsmen playing different types of shots such as Cut Shot, Leg Glance, Straight Drive, Cover Drive, Sweep Shot. This survey will be very helpful for cricketers and coaches since it gives an insight into their type of shot played to a respective type of delivery. We have figured out that the CNN and transfer learning techniques are the most suited algorithm for our image classification purpose. This will be viewed in our future work. |
