Summary:Currently the water pollution in lakes has become a burning issue which has a significant connection with the health and hygiene of the living beings. Much research is going on pertaining to estimation and mitigation of this water pollution. Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) is known to be one of various parameters which are affected by the water pollution. The prediction of the BOD for the assessment of water quality is the subject of this research article. AI and machine learning techniques are used to develop the prediction models, for BOD, in MATLAB.
