Summary:In view of the surge of data traffic in the future network, the quality of service can be improved by using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to assist ground base station communication. For this reason, this paper studies the communication scenario in which the UAV serves as an air mobile base station to provide services for multiple users on the ground. Considering the communication quality of all users within a limited flight time, we jointly optimize the scheduling of users, power allocation of UAV, and the flight path to maximize the minimum achievable rate of all users. Since the optimization problem involved here is non-convex, we propose an efficient iterative algorithm, jointly considering the block coordinate descent method and the successive convex approximation technique. The simulation results verify that this scheme significantly improves the achievable rate of the system compared with other benchmark schemes.
