Summary:This study presents the design and implementation of a laser radar-based system for detecting foreign object intrusion on railways. The system uses laser radar to scan the railway tracks and automatically detects foreign object intrusion through data processing and analysis, promptly triggering alarms. It consists of a laser radar acquisition module, data processing module, and foreign object intrusion detection algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that the system can rapidly and accurately detect foreign object intrusion events, effectively addressing issues such as high manpower costs and low efficiency associated with traditional manual inspection methods. This research provides a novel approach and technological means for ensuring railway safety.
