A Wearable Curved Inverted-F Antenna with AMC for ISM Applications

This research designed a curved inverted F antenna for wearable applications, which operates in the 2.45 GHz ISM bands. Placing the antenna on top of the 4 \times 4 artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) array, the AMC structure thickness is only 1.85 mm, the area is 25 \mathrm{~mm} \times 25 \mathrm{~...

Summary:This research designed a curved inverted F antenna for wearable applications, which operates in the 2.45 GHz ISM bands. Placing the antenna on top of the 4 \times 4 artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) array, the AMC structure thickness is only 1.85 mm, the area is 25 \mathrm{~mm} \times 25 \mathrm{~mm}. The antenna gain is increased by 16.1 dBi loading AMC at a gap of 7.35 mm from the human body. After using AMC array, the near-body radiation performance of the antenna has been greatly improved.
