Summary:Many radio frequency (RF) channels were frequently needed for massive MIMO systems, which significantly raised hardware prices. Therefore, the significance of RF switch has substantially expanded with the ongoing advancement of massive MIMO technology. In this paper, a 5 MHz-6 GHz SP16T RF high-speed switch design for a time-division multiplexing (TDM) radio sounder is presented, which can be further cascaded for a TDM massive MIMO channel sounder. The measured insertion loss, isolation and return Loss are frequency-dependent and vary between [-3.1, -4.6] dB, [-30, -100] dB and [-15, -60] dB, respectively.
