Summary:A virtual laboratory of modern network technologies was created to enable the laboratory to function without constant supervision from teaching staff, allow for individualization of the learning process, and provide remote accessibility from outside the educational organization. The paper considers the architecture of a virtual laboratory for providing access to students, demonstrates the method of user authentication and authorization for access to the equipment, and illustrates the operability of the system. The process of installing and configuring means of authentication and authorization for remote access to the virtual laboratory is described. The study proves that when providing remote access to a virtual laboratory for a large number of users and experiencing high load on the RADIUS server, it is effective to store credentials in a database. A PostgreSQL server is taken as an example in this paper. This approach is useful for the construction and adaptation of virtual laboratories
