Summary:Motivated by the advent of disruptive flexible satellite payloads, Thales is radically revisiting its TWT architecture to offer cost efficient solutions with very low mass and dimensions for dense integration into active array antenna. These designs also achieve low power dissipation at all drive levels. They operate both Ku (10.7-12.75 GHz) and Ka (17.3-20.2 GHz) with a broad instantaneous bandwidth covering either the full Ku, or Ka band. We present specifications, technologies, performances and maturity of this new component.
