Summary:This work focusses on a system, which can charge battery of electric vehicle by utilizing solar energy for sustainable and eco-friendly transportation. The charging system of electric vehicle consists of a solar panel, a power transfer system, which is wireless, and a battery for energy storage. The system proposed here provides an efficient and safe method to charge electric vehicles without any physical connections or wires. The system includes a few safety features like over-voltage protection and overcurrent protection for reliable charging. A prototype is built and tested for charging electric vehicle, which works efficiently.
