Summary: | Image processing technology had a beneficial impact on the material processing process. For purpose of acquiring the droplet images of the metal transfer process, high speed camera/laser system was applied to acquire the droplet image, and image processing algorithms were devoted to extracting the droplet morphology and kinematics information. The results indicated that the droplet diameter, barycentric coordinate, and the instantaneous velocity were all competently obtained. The image processing algorithms contributed to controlling the droplet precisely, which would be of great service to the industrial applications. |
