Summary:With each passing day there are advancements in science and its technology, but people are still unable to utilize them properly because of their busy schedules or not being aware of the technologies, which several times results in loss of patient's lives. Our proposed model is designed for continuous monitoring of patient's basic health parameters such as heart rate, blood oxygen level, and room conditions such as levels of CO2 gas, room temperature and humidity which are displayed on an LCD. The proposed model has an alert system in the form of sending SMS to the registered number whenever a toxic gas is detected thereby notifying patient's caretaker before unfortunate incident takes place. The model also aims to help people who are old aged, deaf, dumb, bed-ridden and having paralyzed effects by designing a glove which has flex sensors interfaced to it. A particular field is initialized to each flex sensor, whenever the patient wearing the glove bends the finger, flex sensor gets twisted and the field attached to it is played on the speaker. Hence the glove is used for easy and effective communication between the patient and their caretaker.
