Radiated RFI Measurement of SKA Dish Digitizer RXS123 in an Anechoic Chamber

This paper identifies sources of EMI emissions of the SKA-mid Receiver Sampler for SKA frequency Bands 1 to 3 (RXS123) and describes the EMI test facilities and test process for the digitizer prototype. The RXS123 must satisfy very strict EMI radiation and susceptibility standards listed in the SPF...

Summary:This paper identifies sources of EMI emissions of the SKA-mid Receiver Sampler for SKA frequency Bands 1 to 3 (RXS123) and describes the EMI test facilities and test process for the digitizer prototype. The RXS123 must satisfy very strict EMI radiation and susceptibility standards listed in the SPF Receiver Requirement Specification [1]. The digitizer architecture has been designed from the ground up to meet these EMI requirements. This paper presents the radiated RFI measurements of the RXS123 focusing on the clock synthesizer and ODL board from 50 MHZ to 8.7 GHz.
