Summary:Educated youth are a country's intellectual assets, and they may contribute greatly to its growth, advancement, and innovation. It is critical to identify and implement effective solutions to close the long-standing literacy rate difference. This study is being conducted to anticipate Pakistan's literacy rates using time series analysis. The research provides the use of the highly regarded time series modeling ARIMA modeling technique to forecast the literacy rates of females (aged 15 to 24). The findings show that the ARIMA (3,1,0) model is the best one for predicting female literacy rates. The findings also support the prediction that by 2057, female literacy in Pakistan would be 100%. In addition, the forecasted values also show that persistence and dedication to implementing effective programs and policies are necessary to reduce the disparity between male and female literacy rates, which has been declining since three to four times between 1981 and 2019.
