Summary:In recent years, regenerative electric heating (REH) equipment has been gradually promoted on the agenda, which has better energy saving quality than ordinary electric heating. REH has good control performance and has important economic value in peak regulation and environmental protection due to the thermal storage unit. In this paper, a "Gas-REH" joint optimal operation model with the objective function of minimum total energy cost is established, which is based on the gas heating model and considers thermal comfort for users. An optimal operation method of group load for REH considering economic benefit is proposed. Finally, a typical example analysis is given by YALMIP platform and CPLEX software package in MATLAB, and the result shows that compared to existing gas heating methods, "Gas-REH" joint optimal operation model can effectively reduce the energy cost of residents. The proposed optimal operation method fully responds to the peak and valley electricity price, it can also realize economic operation and indirectly respond to the power grid peak load shifting at the same time.
