Summary:Air quality within buildings has an impact on the health and comfort of building occupants. Studies have shown that prolonged exposure to indoor pollutants leads to long-term health risks. Understanding the characteristics of indoor pollution can help in mitigation and reduce health concerns. The paper aims to understand the variations in key pollution parameters responsible for characterizing a residence's indoor air quality while comparing on a Friday (weekday), Saturday, and Sunday (weekend). For the study, a two-bedroom residence, with four-person occupancy was considered. Air quality measurements of PM2.5, PM10, CO 2 , AQI, temperature, humidity was obtained using IQAir Air Visual Air Quality Monitor. The results showed a notable increase in pollutants on weekdays rather than weekend with full occupancy. The temperatures and humidity variations recorded similarities over the three days. There was an interesting increase in indoor pollutant levels on Saturday evening to night which was influenced by the outdoor conditions of the busy road rather than the indoor activities.
