Summary:Gas turbines are used in a wide range of services for powering aircraft of all types and in industrial plants for driving mechanical equipment such as compressors and pumps. The aim of this research paper is to experimentally investigate the performance of TH150 mini gas turbine power plant at different turbine speeds. Experimental condition is to run the plant at two different turbine speed (120300 rpm, 134748 rpm). The performance of the power plant was mathematically analyzed based on experimental data obtained at different speed. The results show that when gas generator speed increase to 134 748 rpm from 120 300 rpm, gear box, generator speed and Volume flow rate of fuel also increase by 14%. Heat input power to the turbine was 99% more than electricity output power on both gas generator speeds. Overall power plant efficiency was noticed to be below 1% on both gas generator speed.
