Summary:Cloud radio access network (C-RAN) is considered as a promising architecture with advantages of green energy, convenient resources allocation. With the development of virtualization techniques, an architectural shift in mobile networks can be realized. In this paper, we apply C-RAN on wireless access system for high-speed railway (HSR) scenarios and study dynamic mapping of Baseband Unit (BBU) and Remote Radio Head (RRH) using C-RAN architecture. Moreover, a dynamic mapping algorithm between BBU and RRH in HSR scenarios is proposed to improve the quality of HSR communication performance, which can adjust the mapping relationship between BBU and RRH in real-time according to the train status. The simulation result indicates that the proposed algorithm can obtain the performance of low handover and high network throughput when the fronthaul capacity of BBU pool is limited.
