Summary:This paper describes a comparative study between different configurations of microgrid system to determine the most reliable and costless one. In fact, the used approach is based on three criteria; the DPSP (Deficiency of Power Supply Probability) criterion, the EC (Energy Cost) criterion and the TNPC (Total Net Present Cost) criterion. Solar radiation, temperature and wind speed are defined as input information. All results, obtained using Matlab/ Simulink, prove the efficiency of the used technique in ensuring the comparative sizing study.
