Summary:To increase the efficiency of multi-position surface movement radars (SMR) the methods of combined processing of partial radar frames obtained from X-band surveillance radar were used. The difference between reference cross section of the surface and objects located on the airfield determine the difference in brightness and sharpness of the parts in processed radar frames, which allows them to be segmented. Investigations of the quality indicators of radar frames and their segmented fragments were carried out using calibration procedures of the dynamic ranges of partial and mixed radar frames.
