Summary:Auxiliary converter is an important part of high-power on-board power electronic transformer, and it is responsible for the function of powering ventilation system, lighting system and other auxiliary equipment. The normal operation of the train is inseparable from the normal running of the auxiliary converter. Improving the fault tolerance rate of the auxiliary converter of the train can greatly improve the stability of the train operation. The topology and principle of a single DAB converter and a cascaded DAB converter are introduced. The fault model of the cascaded DAB converter in the auxiliary converter is established, and a fault isolation strategy is proposed. The fault can be quickly removed through bypassing fault module, and the input voltage of each sub-module can be rebalanced by adopting this strategy, so that the auxiliary converter can maintain normal output voltage.
