Summary:This paper innovatively presents interesting and inspiring discussions on three relationships between mobile phones' metal exteriors and millimeter-Wave (mm-Wave) antennas so that the future developments and advances on mm-Wave antennas in the mobile phones can be promisingly enlightened and triggered. The three analyzed relationships involve: (1) the negative one wherein the metal exteriors to mm-Wave antennas are the constraints needed to be overcome, (2) the positive one wherein the metal exteriors to mm-Wave antennas are the contributors able to be utilized, and (3) the combined one wherein the mm-Wave antenna carriers are the extensions of the metal exteriors to benefit the performance of non-mm-Wave antennas in the form of the metal exteriors.
