Summary: | Ever since the pioneering work of Donald Hebb, neuronal assembly has been receiving extensive attention from neuroscientists. Different methods including PCA and ICA have been proposed to detect neuronal assemblies. In this paper, we apply a new method, i.e., dictionary learning with size optimization to calcium imaging data in order to solve this problem. The method used here can be generalized to datasets obtained with different methods and with various sizes. |
