Summary:One affordance of information and communication technology (ICT) for education is the opportunity to provide personalized learning opportunities. This paper represents an attempt to map participant Digital Ecosystems and to demonstrate there are differences in learner technological environments that can be mapped and used to inform the design of personalized learning activities. Participants identified their perceived strength of the relationship between 15 words to form a relational matrix. This data was analyzed to produce a map of the learner Digital Ecosystem across several age groups from 18 to above 65 years of age. The results support the idea that there are differences across age groups conserving technological availability and use, including desktops, laptops, tablets, E-readers, and smartphones.
