Summary:In this paper we propose a virtual tool for determining the roughness of surfaces of IT equipment used in modern industry, such as electric automotive one. Electric vehicles due to the constructive and functional specificity, require a higher degree of processing of the surfaces of parts and components, therefore advanced methods for verifying the roughness of surfaces are necessary to be implemented in order to ensure both quality and throughput. Altogether with the hardware and software support of our virtual tool for verifying surfaces roughness we present an illustrative example of how our system, i.e. VIS-01 works.
