Summary: | This paper displays a microstrip-fed monopole antenna utilized for mobile applications. Using truncated ground plane structure and stepped rectangular patch the designed antenna can operate in dual-band such as 2G and 5G mobile communication band. The antenna performance is evaluated using simulations and exploratory outcomes demonstrate that at 3.5GHz and 1.8GHz the return loss is -37dB and -14dB respectively. The omnidirectional Fresnel pattern/near field pattern is achieved in the H-plane for the frequency band of intrigue. |
